We FIS make it a rule to visit Fukui Prefectural Experimental Stock Farm in spring every year as it’s the season to shear sheep.
It’s said that a sheep wears two wool sweaters. The growing speed of its wool is so rapid that it has to be sheared before hot summer.
On April 20, FIS toddlers visited the farm to experience shearing a sheep. We can easily imagine the stimulation of seeing, touching, smelling a sheep directly and closely.
Enjoy the slide show.
